  • Dr. Ison V. Vanchipurackal has received the Summer Research Fellowship of the IndianAcademy of Sciences, Bangalore in 2011 and 2012. The summer research was carried out at School of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Trivandrum under the guidance of Prof. K. George Thomas.

  • The department of Politics got a rare opportunity to share the research wisdom and teaching experience of a Nehru Fulbright Scholar Prof. Dr. Michael Warren Sonnlitenier, chair of Peace and Conflict Studies of Portland Community College for six months during 2010-11.
  • Dr. Stany Thomas was selected for the Nehru-Fulbright Scholarship Programme and served as a faculty of Portland Community College, Oregon, USA for six months.

  • Dr.Vincent Mathew (Dept. of Physics) successfully completed the INSA-HAS exchange programme during 2007. He worked on the topic ‘Quantum optics’ jointly with Prof. Sergie V Kukhelovski at university of Pecs, Hungary .
  • Dr. Dennis Thomas (Dept. of Botany) secured BOYSCAST fellowship of DST and completed one year postdoctoral training with Prof. Erhard Kranz at the Department of Applied Plant Molecular Biology, University of Hamburg, Germany in 2007-08. During his stay in Germany, Dr. Dennis specialized in ‘in vitro fertilization with isolated gametes in maize and Brachypodium’.
  • Dr. Jose T. Puthur (Dept. of Botany) secured BOYSCAST fellowship of DST and completed one year postdoctoral training at Institute of Plant Biology, Biological research centre, Hungarian academy of sciences, Szeged, Hungary in 2007-08.
  • Dr G D Gem Mathew won the Best Chemistry Teacher Award of the Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT), Mumbai, Institute of Chemical Technology of the University of Mumbai and National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR), Pune in 2011.
  • Dr. Dennis Thomas (Dept. of Botany) got the rare distinction of visiting Field Science Centre for Northern Biosphere, University of Hokkaido, Japan as INSA-JSPS visiting Scientist during 2009 and the Department of Pharmaceutical Biology and Botany, Medical University in Wroclaw, Poland as INSA-PAS visiting Scientist in 2013.
  • Dr. Dennis Thomas has been selected as a visiting associated Professor at Field science centre for Northern Biosphere, University of Hokkaido, Japan during 2014.
  • Dr Sunil C Mathew has been cited in Mathematics Genealogy Project with 2 students and 2 descendants. The intent of this project is to compile information about all the mathematicians of the world and is maintained by the North Dakota State University USA.

  • A number of teachers of our college are peer-reviewers of many International Journals and are adjudicators of Ph.D. theses of several universities.
  • Besides this many of our teachers are members of the Board of Studies of various universities, subject experts for selection of faculty in colleges, members of Senate and Syndicate, etc
