Library
The department Library born in 1953 has a collection of more than 100 reference books, dealing with various fields of Zoology. It also has journals like Experience in Biology, Century Asia, Down to Earth and Scientific America.

Museum
The Museum of the department exhibits various indigenous and foreign varieties of animals that help the students in their studies. The museum preserves various types of Corals, Sea Anemones, Annelids, butterflies, star fishes and other kinds of fishes, venomous and non-venomous snakes and mammals. To facilitate the study of Physiology, Embryology and Anatomy, the museum preserves skeletons of various organisms and foetuses of various organisms including human beings.

Laboratory
The Laboratory, rich with many foreign microscopes, OHP slide Projectors and Film projectors, helps the students in their Zoological studies.



  1. All the classrooms are facilitated by LCD projectors.

  1. There is a well maintained Museum (Room No: AIII -9) at the department which house old and rare preserved complete animal specimens, skeleton and models.

  1. Aquariums: there are four aquariums are maintained in the department with ornamental and indigenous fish species for hands own experience for Zoology students.

  1. Aviary: there is an aviary at the department which houses 5 pairs of love birds which is maintained by the third year B.Sc. Zoology students for learning experience.
