Internship for II DC Vocational History Students.

The second year B.A. Vocational History students of the College participated in a training course in Archaeology and Museology at the Center for Heritage Studies at Hill place, Tripunithura from 20 May to 5 June 2010. In addition to the theoretical classes there was also practical training at the Hill Place Museum. The thirteen students who participated in this vocational training also presented a report of the study of various places of worship in Kerala, including churches and temples, as part of their project. All the successful participants obtained certificates from the Center for Heritage Studies.

Seminar on Spectroscopy and Chromatography for P.G. Chemistry Students

The Department of Chemistry organized a one-day seminar on Spectroscopy and Chromatography for PG Chemistry students on 7 October 2010. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. K. K. Jose, Principal, at a meeting presided over by Prof. V. T. Thomas, HOD of Chemistry. Sri. R. Girijan, Sr. Product Manager, Toshvin Analytical Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai (sponsors of the programme) delivered two lectures on the topics UV & FTIR Spectroscopy: Theory & Applications’ and Applications of Modern Chromatography’. Dr. Jose K. Xavier co-ordinated the programme.
