About Us

The department of vocational education is established in the year 2014 and the courses Started on 01-12-2014. The University Grants Commission (UGC) had launched a scheme for skill development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc.) degree and Diploma under Community College Scheme.

The aim of B.Voc and Community College Programme is focused on universities and colleges providing undergraduate studies which would also incorporate specific job roles and their NOSs (National Occupational Standards) along with broad based general education. These vocational courses give a vertical mobility for the students those who are completed VHSE. This would enable the graduates completing B.Voc and Diploma makes a meaningful participation in accelerating India’s economy by gaining appropriate employment, becoming entrepreneurs and creating appropriate knowledge. Our Courses are purely based on SKILL INDIA Development. NATIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (NSDC) will be the implementing agency for this Scheme and NSDF shall monitor the implementation of the Scheme, using mutually agreed criteria with NSDC. The objective of this Scheme is to encourage skill development for youth by providing monetary rewards for successful completion of approved training programs.
