St. Thomas College Alumni Association is an active organisation which aims at the inculcation of intimate fellowship and promotion of frequent interactions among the former students of the College. Besides this, each department has its own Alumni Forum. Founded on 11th November, 1999, the College Alumni Association has organized a wide variety of programmes.
It has instituted an Endowment fund to gratefully acknowledge the services of the Founder Fathers namely, late Bishop Mar Sebastian Vayalil, the founder-Patron of the college, Late Msgr. Joseph Kureethadom, former Principal and Late Prof. V.J. Joseph, the first Vice-Principal of the college. The Alumni Debate Forum organizes debates every month at HRD Centre, Pala. The Alumni Association is having different chapters abroad, such as Pastcos, Kuwait, Bahrin Alumni Association, Doha Alumni Association etc. All students who have passed out from this college are members of the association. George Thomas Kottukapally Trust in association with the Alumni Associaton has institured an award worth Rs. One Lakh for the “Most Ethical Business Man”, in memory of Sri. George Thomas Kottukapally MP, who was instrumental in the starting of the college. A corpus sum of Rs. Eleven lakhs has been paid by Kottukapally family.

Alumni Day Celebrations
Alumni Day was celebrated with much pomp and glory on 20 September 2010. Important events of the day included reunion of the tenth batch of the College, presentation of Msgr. Joseph Kureethadam Award and Kottukapally Award, and presentation of lifetime achievement awards to the selected members of the Alumni Association. Mr. Alex Menamparampil, Secretary of the Association, presented the annual report at a meeting presided over by Adv. K.T. Joseph, President of the Association. The tenth batch (1960 batch) of students and teachers, who met in the College after a long gap of 50 years under the auspices of the Alumni Association, were felicitated and draped with ponnada by Dr. K.K. Jose, Principal of the College. The ‘Sahitya Ratna’ Award in memory of Msgr. Joseph Kureethadam instituted by the Founding Fathers Trust of the Alumni Association for the Best Writer among the alumni was presented to Dr. S. Rajasekharan, noted Malayalam writer, critic, and the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Sree Sankara Sanskrit University, Kalady. He was presented with a citation and a cash a ward o f Rs. 2 5,000 / - instituted by the Founding Fathers Trust. Sri. Ravindran Nair Pala introduced the Msgr. Kureethadam awardee to the audience . The Kottukapally Award for Business Excellence instituted by Sri. George Thomas Kottukapally Memorial Trust was presented to Sri. C.V. Jacob, Managing Director, Synthite Industries Ltd., Kolencherry. He was presented with a citation and a cash award of 1,00,000/- instituted by the Kottukapally Memorial Trust. Sri. John Kottukapally introduced the Kottukapally Award and the awardee to the audience. The awards were presented by t h e Chief Guest Sri. V.J. Kurian IAS , Chairman , Spices Board of India.

Alumni Day Celebrations
The Alumni Day of the College was celebrated with much pomp and glory on 14 August 2009. Important events of the day included reunion of the ninth batch of the College, presentation of Bishop Mar Sebastian Vayalil Award and presentation of lifetime achievement awards to a few eminent members of the Alumni Association. The ninth batch (1959 batch) of students and teachers of the College, who met in the College after a long gap of 50 years under the auspices of the Alumni Association, were felicitated and draped with ponnada by Dr. K.K. Jose, Principal of the College. Dr. V.V Georgekutty Vattoth, who was conferred with D. Litt degree by Pondicherry University, was also felicitated and draped with ponnada.
Shri. Anto Antony M.P, an alumnus of the College, presented the Bishop Mar Sebastian Vayalil Award to Dr. Jose Chacko Periappuram, who was adjudged the Outstanding Physician Alumnus of the College. He was presented with a citation and a cash award of Rs. 25,000/- instituted by the Founding Fathers Trust of the Alumni Association. Shri. Anto Antony M.P (Pathanamthitta) and Shri. Jose K. Mani M.P (Kottayam) were specially honoured on the occasion. Shri. Jose K. Mani delivered the keynote address of the meeting. Shri. Jacob Pamplany, Vice President of the Alumni Association, welcomed the gathering and Adv. K.T. Joseph, Convener of the Alumni Debate Forum, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme ended with a rendering of patriotic songs by students of the College.
Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
The year being the Diamond Jubilee year of the college, the Jubilee was celebrated by the College. Hon. Chief Justice of India, Sri. K.G. Balakrishnan, was the chief guest of the function. The Association welcomed the chief guest, art alumnus of the College, in a befitting manner.
In connection with the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, an Inter-University Cross-Country Competition was organized by the Department of Physical Education of the College. The Association contributed immensely to the competitions.
Seminar and Essay Competition on ASEAN Free Trade Agreement
The Alumni Association organized a seminar on ASEAN Free Trade Agreement at the Vypara Bhavan Auditorium, Pala on 3 October 2009. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. K.K. Jose, Principal. Adv. K.T. Joseph, Dr. K.N. Muraleedharan Nair, Prof. K.M. Mathew and Sri. O.N.V. Namboothiri spoke on the occasion. An essay competition on the same topic for college students was also organised. Sri. James Pampackal was the convener of both the programmes.
Alumni Debate Forum
The Alumni Debate Forum meets on every first Saturday at HRD Centre Pala at 5.00 PM, Eminent persons take classes or lead debates or deliver lectures on different subjects of importance on such days. India and the United Nations, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Near Death Experience and Changes Thereafter, Janamaithri Police, Kunchan Nambiar, Development Needs of Pala, Journey to Russia, Lifestyle Diseases etc. are only a few of the subjects of talk in the various meetings of the Debate Forum. The Association is grateful to Prof. Joseph Mathew who returned from the services in the UN; Sri. Jayachandran Pillai, former Circle Inspector of Police, Pala; Prof. Baby Thomas; Sri.P.R. Raveendran Nair; Dr. James Poondikulam; Sri. Sabu Kulangara; Sri. Joseph Thomas; Dr. Mohammed Sudhir and others who took classes on each occasion.
Alumni Cultural Forum
Under the leadership of Dr. George Mathew and Prof. Joseph Mathew, Alumni Cultural Forum conducted a Ganamela in the College auditorium in connection with the Annual Day celebrations. Prof. Balakrishnan, former Principal, Keralavarma College, Trichur; Dr. K.N. Muraleeharan Nair, Prof. Joseph Mathew, Smt. Lexi Georgekutty, Mr. Jopu Joseph Mathew are only a few who actively led the musical concert.
Adv. Jose Kachiramattam is the convener of the Alumni Cultural Forum. The Forum has conducted several trips to various spots of cultural importance in the state so far. A seminar led by Sri. Easwaran Namboodiri, Hill Place, Tripunithara is worth mentioning.
Alumni Sports Forum
Sri. S. Gopinath IPS, I.G. of Police, Kerala, is the chairman of the Alumni Sports Forum and Sri. Joseph Michael Manarkatt is the convener. The Sports Forum has contributed much to the various sports events held in the College as well as in and around Pala. Contributions rendered by the Forum to the Inter-University cross-country competitions are worth mentioning.
Principal Visits PASTCOS Kuwait Chapter
The Principal Dr. K.K. Jose participated in the New Year Celebrations 2010, of PASTCOS Kuwait Chapter on 22 January 2010. More than 200 members participated in the grand celebrations held at Hotel Abbasia, Kuwait. There were various competitions for family members and children. The cultural extravaganza and dinner were befitting to mark the decennial celebrations of PASTCOS. PASTCOS Kuwait have instituted the Diamond Jubilee Scholarship worth Rs. 10,000/- to be awarded every year to 5 students based on merit-cum-means. On the occasion they also published a Directory of all the members. Onam Celebrations, Christmas Celebrations and Family Picnic were also organized in a grand manner. The office bearers Mr. Lalgi George (President), Mr. Tomy Cyriac (Secretary) and Mr. Sunny Joseph (Treasurer) provided dynamic leadership to the activities of the Chapter during 2009-2010.
Commerce Alumni Association
Commerce Alumni Association is functioning under the Department of Commerce. It organizes meetings of the alumni and organizes Family Get-together for various B.Com batches. A one-day gathering of the alumni along with the present teachers was held on 26 December, 2009 in the College auditorium. Prof. PA. Mathew and Dr. Tharsis Joseph former HODs of the Dept. and Prof. PC. Abraham were present. Director of the Commerce Forum, Prof. Johnson Andrews, welcomed the gathering.
