St. Thomas College Alumni Association is an active organisation which aims at the inculcation of intimate fellowship and promotion of frequent interactions among the former students of the College. Besides this, each department has its own Alumni Forum. Founded on 11th November, 1999, the College Alumni Association has organized a wide variety of programmes.
It has instituted an Endowment fund to gratefully acknowledge the services of the Founder Fathers namely, late Bishop Mar Sebastian Vayalil, the founder-Patron of the college, Late Msgr. Joseph Kureethadom, former Principal and Late Prof.   V.J. Joseph, the first Vice-Principal of the college. The Alumni Debate Forum organizes debates every month at HRD Centre, Pala. The Alumni Association is having different chapters abroad, such as Pastcos, Kuwait, Bahrin Alumni Association, Doha Alumni Association etc. All students who have passed out from this college are members of the association. George Thomas Kottukapally Trust in association with the Alumni Associaton has institured an award worth Rs. One Lakh for the “Most Ethical Business Man", in memory of Sri. George Thomas Kottukapally MP, who was instrumental in the starting of the college. A corpus sum of Rs. Eleven lakhs has been paid by Kottukapally family.

Alumni Day Celebration 2018-19

The Alumni Day was celebrated on 5th October 2018 by distributing Bishop Mar. Sebastian Vayalil Award to T.K Jose IAS and George Thomas Kottukapilly Award for the best businessman to Sri. John Kuriakose (Director Dent Care Dental Lab Pvt Ltd) respectively. Sri. Tom Jose IAS, Chief Secretary, Kerala Govt. and T.K Jose IAS, were the guests of the programme. A total of 750 members including the alumni, students and other well wishers attended the programme. The alumni Executive Members donated Rs 36000/- towards the construction of the new block in our college. Rs.33333 was sponsored by the College Alumni and Rs.100000 was sponsored by the Kottukappilly trust for the same.

Alumni Day Celebrations 2017-18

The 67th Alumni Day was celebrated with much pomp and glory on 20 October 2017. Important events of the day included reunion of the seventeenth batch of the College, and presentation of the Founding fathers Trust Awards. Sri. Alex Menamparambil, Scretary of the Association, presented the annual report at a meeting presided over by Sri. Ravi Pala, President of the Association. Sri. Zakir T. Thomas IRS, Income Tax Commissioner, Govt. of India, inaugurated the celebrations and delivered the Sri. George Thomas Kottukappally Memorial Lecture. Dr. Cyriac Thomas Former Vice Chancellor and Member, National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, delivered the benedictory address. The seventeenth batch (1967 batch) of students and their teachers, who met in the College after a long gap of 50 years under the auspices of the Alumni Association, were felicitated and draped with ponnada by Dr. Cyriac Thomas. The Founding fathers Trust Award of the Alumni Association in honour of Very Dr. P. J. Thomas (Founder principal of the College) for the Best ‘Kala Prathibha’ was presented to Sri. Sri. Poonjar Vijayan, Vayaliparampil (alumnus of the College). Dr. Joy George, Principal welcomed the gathering and Prof. Sojan Pullattu, Treasurer, Alumni Association proposed the vote of thanks. An All Kerala Intercollegiate quiz competition was organized by the Alumni Association on 13 December 2017 for promoting the intellectual growth of students and to preserving the precious memories of the founding fathers of the college. Dr. G. D. Gem Mathew, Dr. Tejil Thomas, Prof. Gibin Raja george and Prof. Tony joseph were the quiz masters. The I, II and III prizes were won by the teams representing St. Thomas College, Pala, Bharata Matha College, Thrikkakara and Newman College, Thodupuzha, respectively. The winners were presented with Menamparampil Pappachen Memorial Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 5,000/- , the first runner up was presented with M. A. Zacharias Mannakkunnel Memorial Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 3,000/- and the second runner up was presented with John Nechikkatt Memorial Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 2,000/-. The best quizzer was presented with Rev. Fr. Jacob Thazhathel Award of Rs. 1,000/-. The prizes were distributed by H. E. Mar Joseph Pallikaparampil Bishop Emeritus of Palai & former Parton of the College.

The 66th Foundation day and Alumni Day were celebrated with much pomp and glory on 4 November 2016. Important events of the day included reunion of the sixteenth batch of the College, and presentation of the Founding fathers Trust Awards. Sri. Alex Menamparambil, Scretary of the Association, presented the annual report at a meeting presided over by Sri. Ravi Pala, President of the Association. Dr. P. C. Thomas, founder Principal of Good Shepherd International Scholl, Ootty, inaugurated the celebrations and delivered the inaugural address. H. E. Mar Jacob Murickan, Auxillary Bishop of Palai and Manager of the College, delivered the benedictory Address. The Sixteenth batch (1966 batch) of students and their teachers, who met in the College after a long gap of 50 years under the auspices of the Alumni Association, were felicitated and draped with ponnada by H. E. Mar Jacob Murickan. The Founding fathers Trust Award of the Alumni Association in honour of Very Rev. Msgr. Joseph Kureethadam ( Former principal of the College) for the Best Temperance Activist was presented to Sri. N. M. Sebastian (Alumnus of the College and Director of ADAART) and Sri. George Thomas Kottukappally Award for the Best Ethical Businessperson was presented to Sri. Bobby M. Jacob and Sri. Sabu M. Jacob (Managing Partners of Anna-Kitex Group) by H. E. Mar Joacob Murickan. Sri. Augusthy Thomas Kunnathedam Memorial Award was presented to Sri. K.M. Chummar (alumnus of the college and noted historian). Dr. Sunny Joseph, Principal welcomed the gathering and Dr. C. K. James, Treasurer, Alumni Association proposed the vote of thanks. An All Kerala Intercollegiate quiz competition was organized by the Alumni Association on 2 February 2017 for promoting the intellectual growth of students and to preserving the precious memories of the founding fathers of the college. Important events of the day included reunion of the fifteenth batch of the College, and presentation of the Founding fathers Trust Awards. Sri. Alex Menamparambil, Scretary of the Association, presented the annual report at a meeting presided over by Adv. K.T. Joseph, President of the Association. Shri. P. C. Cyriac IAS (Former Chairman, Rubber Board) inaugurated the celebrations and delivered the Gerorge Thomas Kottukappally Memorial Lecture. The Founding fathers Trust Award of the Alumni Association in honour of Mar Sebastian Vayalil ( The Founder Parton of the College) for the bestr Media Person was presented to sri. Jose Panachippuram (Asst. Editor, Malayala Manoram) and Fr. Paulose Kunnathedam Memeorial Literary Award was Presented to Prof. Mathew Ulakamthara by Sri. P. C. Cyriac IAS. Dr. Sunny Joseph, Principal welcomed the gathering and Dr. C. K. James, Treasurer, Alumni Association proposed the vote of thanks. New Office-bearers and executive council members of the Alumni Association were elected. They are: Sri. Ravi Pala (President), Sri. O. N. V. Namboodiri and Sri. Joseph Poondikkulam (Vice-President), Sri. Alex Menamparampil (Secretary), Sri. Dijo Kappen (Joint Secretary) and Dr. C. K. James (Treasurer). An All Kerala Intercollegiate quiz competition was organized on 16 January 2016 for promoting the intellectual growth of students and to preserve the precious memories of the founding fathers of the college. 80 students from different colleges participated in the quiz. It was inaugurated by Smt. R. Girija IAS, an alumna of the College. Prof. Tommy Cherian , Dr. G. D. Gem Mathew and Prof. Princemon Jose were the quiz masters. Government Victoria College, Plalakkad team won the first prize of Rs. 5,000/- along with Menamparampil Pappachen Memorial Trophy; the team representing University College, Kariavattom Campus won the second prize of Rs. 3,000/- and M. A. Zacharias Mannakkunnel Memorial Trophy, and Baselius College, Kottayam team won the third prize of Rs. 2,000/- and John Nechikkatt Memorial Trophy. The Rev. Fr. Jacob Thazhathel Award of Rs. 1,000/- for the best quizzer was won by Mr. Abdul Vahid P. A. of Governmnet Victoria College, Palakkad.

Alumni Day Celebrations 2014-15

The 64th Foundation day and Alumni Day were celebrated with much pomp and glory on 16 September 2014. Important events of the day included reunion of the fourteenth batch of the College, and presentation of the Founding fathers Trust Awards. Mr. Alex Menamparambil, Scretary of the Association, presented the annual report at a meeting presided over by Adv. K.T. Joseph, President of the Association. Shri. Ramesh Chennithala, Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. inaugurated the celebrations and delivered inaugural address. Very Rev. Msgr. Philip Njaralakatt, Vicar General and former Principal of the College, delivered the benedictory address. The fourteenth batch (1964 batch) of students and their teachers, who met in the College after a long gap of 50 years under the auspices of the Alumni Association, were felicitated and draped with ponnada by Very Rev. Msgr. Philip Njaralakatt. The Founding Fathers Trust Award of the Alumni Association in honour of George Thomas Kottukappally for the Best Ethical Businessperson was presented to Shri. V. K. Mathews (Chairman, IBS Software Services), Prof. V. J. Joseph Kandoth Award to Adv. George C. Kappen (President, Kizhathadiyoor Service Co-operative Bank) and Msgr. Emmanuel Mecherikunnel Award was presented to Prof. P. K. Mani (Founder Head of the Dept. of Chemistry of the College). Dr. K. T. Augusthy Kunnathedom, Charter President of the Alumni Association, Introduced the awardees to the audience. Shri. Joy Abraham M. P. delivered the keynote address. Shri. Joseph Vazhackan MLA and Dr. V. V. Georgekutty Vattoth, Secretary of College Staff Council, Offered felicitations. Rev. Fr. N. V. Joseph, Principal, welcomed the gathering and Dr. C. K. James, Treasurer, Alumni Association proposed the vote of thanks. The Alumni Association was very active during the year. They organized an intercollegiate quiz competition on 15 December 2014 in memory of three founding fathers, namely Pappachen Menamparampil, M. A. Zacharias Mannanakunnel and John Nechikattu. Prof. Tommy Cherian, Dr. K V. Thomas and Dr. G. D. Gem Mathew were the quiz masters. The teams representing Govt. Law college, Ernakulam, Maharajas College Ernakulam and Kerala University Departments, Thiruvananthpuram, won the first, second and third prizes respectively. Dr. Joseph Vettickan, Principal, Civil Service Institute, Pala distributed trophies and cash awards to the winners. The Kuwait Alumni Association ‘PASTCOS’ has been very active and they organized PASTCOS Mega Fest 2015. They have also published a directory of their members. They have also instituted a scholarship of Rs. 30,000/- every year towards to meritorious students selected on merit-cum-means basis. The STAC, Dubai has been paying Rs. 25,000/- every year towards scholarships. The Indian Jeevakarunya trust, headed by our alumnus Sri. Joseph Chandi working in USA, pays Rs. 30,000/- every year to poor students. Dr. P J. Thomas Palackavayalil endowment pays Rs. 1.00 lakh every year to meritorious science students.
