The major activities of National Service Scheme for the period were categorized under different
heads

  • School adoption
    NSS adopted Ashramam Govt. LPS, Puliyannoor for a period of five years from 2023- 2028. During 2023-2024, several activities were carried out in our adopted school.

  • “Snehaveedu” –Home for homeless classmates, socially and economically backward classes
    NSS has completed and Key handed for one house at Ezhacherry, Ramapuram on 25 January 2024. Construction of three more houses is ongoing at Chengalam and Poonjar currently.

  • Legal awareness sessions to volunteers and all I DC students

  • Organic farming in college & adopted school
    Organic fruit gardens were set up in the campus of college and adopted school. Wide varieties of rare fruit trees were planted and nurtured here.

  • Cleaning of Campus & Public places and spreading awareness about cleanliness

  • Blood donation awareness classes to volunteers and all I DC students & blood donation camps and individual blood donations

  • Electoral Literacy Club
    Various duties include enrollment of students in Voters list, voter awareness campaign, election duty and linking voter ID to AAdhar.

  • Disaster management team
    22 volunteers from our unit has selected to the 4800 members disaster management team formed by MG University NSS cell in order to train these volunteers to equip them to handle the emergency situations arises in future due to natural disasters.

  • Medical camps were organized especially during situation of disease outbreak.

  • Personality & Skill development program

  • Drug Awareness classes, competitions and formation of Asaad Sena
  • AIDS awareness programs

  • Mr. Hrisheendra Hariprasad H. won First prize in the District level Reels competition organized by Kerala State Aids Control Society

  • A team of first year batch [2023-2025 Batch] NSS Volunteers led by Mr. Hrisheendra Hariprasad H. won First prize in the District Level Drama competition organized by Kerala State Aids Control Society

  • NSS Volunteer Mr. Hrisheendra Hariprasad H. has won third prize in the State Level Reel competition organized by Kerala State Aids Control Society

  • NSS Volunteer Mr. Hrisheendra Hariprasad H. has participated in the National Youth Festival at Maharashtra from 12 th to 16 th January 2024.

  • NSS Volunteer Ms. Kaumudy Kalarikkandy has participated in the National Integration Camp at Karnataka from 14 th to 20 th march 2024.
