Department of Psychology (SF)

Established in 2025, the Department of Psychology at St. Thomas College, Palai, marks a significant step toward academic innovation and student-centered learning. With the launch of the BSc Psychology programme, the department is dedicated to building a strong foundation in psychological theory, scientific research, and real-world application.

The programme emphasizes academic excellence, critical thinking, and holistic development, aiming to deepen students’ understanding of human behaviour and mental processes. It prepares students for a wide range of career paths and advanced studies in psychology and related fields.

A key highlight of the programme is the experiential learning component, offered in collaboration with Mar Sleeva Medicity, Palai, which provides students with hands-on exposure to clinical and applied psychology settings.
