Department Of Zoology
We envision the Department of Zoology, St. Thomas College, Palai to be a community of competent professionals and graduate students through experiential learning and extracurricular activities. Our reputed faculties have diverse interests in Animal Diversity, Wildlife Biology, Habitat restoration, Entomology, Taxonomy, Cancer Biology, Biotechnology, Bioprospecting, and Toxicology. With its state of the art lab, museum, smart classrooms, training programs and field studies, the department strives to create an intellectual climate to equip students for pursuing higher studies to become the pioneers of modern biological sciences.
In addition to strong curricular exposure, our graduate students are equipped with passion for research and teaching through workshops and conferences and career guidance for their transition to staffs of Government Departments, Colleges, Universities and research institutes in India and abroad.
