Department Of Archaeology

Model II undergraduate programme in History with Archaeology and Museology was started in 1999. Archaeology has been taught since the inception of this programme. The department of Archaeology was formally established with the appointment of permanent faculty in 2012. The department provides opportunities for the students to learn the basics of archaeology and museum studies through formal learning which is enriched with regular archaeological field works, museum visits and internships.
