Christu Raj Hostel
Christu Raj Hostel (C R) is a sprawling three-storey structure located at the east end of the college campus on the banks of the Meenachil. Founded in 1952, C R has 75 double occupancy rooms for men where 130 undergraduate students and 20 postgraduate students may be accommodated. C R is a unit of St Thomas College Palai Educational Trust and it enjoys autonomy in respect to its internal administration under the overall supervision of the Board of Trustees. The hostel is administered by a warden appointed by the Bishop of Palai and he is assisted by an assistant warden in all matters relating to the hostel. ST THOMAS COLLEGE SPORTS HOSTEL
St. Thomas College, Palai, has established a renowned Sports Hostel that serves as a nurturing ground for aspiring athletes. The hostel provides for boarding, lodging and specialized training facilities for students involved in various sports, including volleyball, swimming, and athletics.
The St. Thomas College Sports Hostel is more than just a residence for athletes; it is a community that cultivates excellence, dedication, and sportsmanship. By providing world-class facilities and expert guidance, the hostel plays a crucial role in shaping the future of sports talent in the region. The College has an MoU with the Kerala State Sports Council which assigns full time coaches to the sports hostel and provides financial assistance for the boarding charges of the selected students. The college caters to the educational and lodging needs of the selected students along with the training facility and equipment’s. For other meritorious sportspersons who doesn’t come under the purview of the KSSC sports hostel scheme, the college provides for full scholarship including the education, boarding, lodging and training.
