INAUGURAL CEREMONY

The inaugural ceremony, held on August 16, 2024, was a momentous occasion that celebrated 75 years of academic excellence, tradition, and community service. The event brought together esteemed alumni, faculty, students, and dignitaries to honor the college’s enduring legacy and its contributions to education. This celebration highlighted the college’s unwavering commitment to fostering academic growth, cultural development, and societal impact, while paving the way for future achievements and innovations.

The event commenced with a series of notable ceremonies and tributes. Principal Dr. Siby James delivered the introductory remarks, setting a tone of gratitude and optimism for the future. The meeting was presided over by Patron H.E. Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, Bishop of the Eparchy of Palai. The celebration was officially inaugurated by distinguished alumnus Mr. George Kurian, Minister of State in the Ministry of Minority Affairs and the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India. Manager Msgr. Dr. Joseph Thadathil offered a heartfelt tribute to the college’s forefathers, recognizing their vision and dedication.

The Platinum Jubilee logo, symbolizing the institution’s lasting legacy, was unveiled by proud alumnus Mr. Roshy Augustine, Minister for Water Resources, Government of Kerala. Adv. K. Francis George, MP, unveiled the Jubilee Block replica, signifying the college’s continued growth, while the key to the new examination wing was handed over by Mr. Jose K. Mani, MP, emphasizing the college’s commitment to enhancing its facilities.

The celebration also underscored the college’s dedication to environmental sustainability with the plantation of a Miyawaki forest, led by Mr. Anto Antony, MP. The Jubilee memento, capturing the spirit of the event, was unveiled by Mr. Mani C. Kappan, MLA. In a symbolic gesture of sustainability, 75 sandalwood saplings were planted by Mr. Shaju V. Thuruthan, Chairperson of the Pala Municipality, in honor of the college’s 75 years of service.

The Jubilee celebration program list was released by Alumni Association President Mr. Dejo Kappan, outlining the upcoming events. Additionally, the keys to the newly revamped gymnasium, symbolizing the college’s commitment to holistic development, were handed over by Mr. Jimmy Joseph, the Municipal Councillor. This event not only celebrated the college’s illustrious past but also set the foundation for a bright and promising future.
