Department Of Biostatistics

The M.Sc. Biostatistics program, originally initiated by UGC in 2005 within the Department of Statistics, transitioned into an independent department in 2015. Presently, it operates as a self-financing program with an intake of 26 students, marking its completion of the 18th year since establishment. This interdisciplinary program encompasses Statistical Theory and Methods, Biostatistical Techniques, Epidemiology, and Computational Techniques utilizing R, SAS, SPSS, and Python. As part of the curriculum, students undertake both a Minor Project and a Major Project in esteemed Research Institutions or Medical Colleges across India.
