Department Of Mathematics

Founded in 1953 under the guidance of Prof. P.C. Joseph, our Mathematics department has been a beacon of triumph, nurturing countless successful students in flying colors. Both our undergraduate and postgraduate programs are highly coveted in Kerala and we empower students to explore the fascinating realms of pure and applied mathematics, equipping them with the skills to tackle complex real-world challenges with precision and creativity. In 1997, we ascended to the esteemed status of a research center. Presently, we have 5 research advisors and have awarded twenty doctoral degrees, with hundreds of research publications in prestigious journals. Notable alumni such as Dr. N. Unnikrishan Nair, Dr. A.M. Mathai, and Sri T.K. Jose I.A.S. have illuminated our department’s reputation with their outstanding careers. Many of our students secure placements in reputable firms through campus recruitment, and several others pursue higher studies at renowned institutions both nationally and internationally. Their success is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our department to instil in them a sense of discipline and diligence, guiding them towards excellence in all aspects of life.
